Darrell Musick is the Program Officer for the Creating Opportunity & Independence (CO&I) portfolio. Darrell works closely with the CO&I Review Board to help augment the lives of individuals living with spinal cord injury through this diverse portfolio.
Darrell has more than 20 years of clinical experience in the field of spinal cord injury at Craig Hospital and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as a clinician, educator and leader. He founded Spinal Cord Injury Seminars, Inc. in 2004 to promote SCI continuing education nationally. He was previously an adjunct faculty member at the Samuel Merritt College and UCSF/SFSU DPT programs in the Bay Area. Darrell also contributed to the Ekso Bionics robotic exoskeleton development from 2010 to 2020, and served on the CHN CO&I Review Board from 2013-2020.
Darrell received his undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from California State University at Long Beach in 1989.
Darrell is an outdoor enthusiast, who can often be found fishing or waterskiing the California Delta. He is usually accompanied by his dog, Casey. Darrell is an avid Giants/Warriors/49ers fan, who also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
